A 14-year-old girl, Ese Oruru who was abducted from her home in Bayelsa State and forced into marraige in Islamic Kano State in August 2015 by one Yinusa Dahiru has bagged 26 years prison term.
Justice Jane Inyang of the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State delivered the long-awaited judgement on Thursday.
Justice Inyang acquitted Dahiru on count one but jailed him five years on count two, seven years on count three, seven years on count four and seven years on count five.
The sentences, according to the judge would run concurrently.
