Gunmen kill businessman in Lagos
---As CP Odumosu orders deployment of policemen to protect  Covid-19 Vaccines

Suspected gunmen have shot dead a businessman identifed as  Mr. Anthony Umeokoli at the Ogba area of Lagos state. 
Mr. Umeokoli until he was murdered was a businessman dealing in wholesale of fabrics. 
According to a family source, Mr. Umeokoli had stepped out of his  house and was about to enter his car when a man shot him at close range and fled.
She said " This is very sad. Mr Tony is a very good man and we cannot say why anyone would kill him in such a manner. He had just completed his house in the village when he was killed. He was not allowed to eat the friut of his labour. He was standing in front of his house in Ogba  that fateful morning and had said good bye to his wife. He was going to the market to buy fabric when he was shot dead. The person that killed him did not take anything from him. How can they kill him like that?". 
It was gathered that the murder has been reported to the Area G command Ogba. When contacted, the Lagos state police command  spokesperson CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said he would get back on the case but after several attempts to get him to speak, but to no avail".
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu,  has ordered tight security for Covid -19 vaccines in the state. 
The Lagos police boss gave the order when he inspected  the cold room where the vaccine is being kept at Ikeja area of the state  
Commissioner of Police, who was received by the Lagos State Immunisation Officer, Mrs Bola Orefejo and team, warned the staff at the cold store to be sensitive to the safety of the vaccines and ensure that unauthorised staff or individuals are not allowed into the premises of the cold store
 
 CSP Adejobi in a press  statement said " CP Hakeem Odumosu directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, DCP Ahmed Kontangora, to deploy adequate police personnel to the facility and ordered the Area commander, Area F, ACP Ali Zongo and Divisional Police Officers, Ikeja, CSP Taiwo Oyewale to personally supervise the men detailed to provide security for the staff and the vaccines accordingly. 

The Commissioner of Police also warned that the entire surroundings of the store be cordoned off while the entire area is made free of intruders"
