Quarter  finalists emerge in  Gregory Imafidon foundation secondary school football championship.

Eight schools have won their places in the on going Gregory Imafidon foundation secondary school championship holding in Benin City Edo State. 

The schools were among 22 secondary schools competing for a gold cup, scholarships and other prizes. 

The  schools that qualified for the quarter final are :

1 Asoro grammar school

2 Government  science of technology school

3.Osewede secondary school

4.Pionner educational center

5. Igbinovia group of school

6.ogunbor secondary school

7 Ugiomo secondary School

And 

8. Betbele who came in as lucky losers .

Match 1. Asoro grammar school 

         Vs 

Government science and technical College.

Time : 10:30 Am to 11.40 Pm

Match 2: 

Igbinovia group of school

         Vs

Osewende secondary school.

Time : 11-40 Am to 12-50 Pm

Match 3:

Ugiomo secondary school

        Vs

Pioneer Educational center.

Time:  12:50 pm to 2.00 pm

Match 4:

Brethele international School

     Vs

Ogunbor secondary schools.

Time:  2Pm to 3-10pm

The competition tagged  "Catch them young, Kick against crime" saw Ugiomo secondary School forced  Brethele international School to a 2-2 draw but scaled through with penalty shout-out that ended up  3-2 in favour of Ugiomo.

 Emmanuel score 2, Christian 1,Shehu 1 and the goal keeper Destiny 1 for Ugiomo.

Iyoha destiny, Ikuoyemwen Destiny and Osayi Isibor scored one goal each for Brethele.

Uniben consultancy secondary  school lost to pioneer educational center by two goals to one.
