YDPN launches nation wide branches
----sentisization awareness for PVC registration
The Youth Democratic Party of Nigeria YDPN has launched its nationwide branches .
Adelana Adesegun popularly known as Aluta the deputy Coordinator while expressing satisfaction with the launch at the Shomolu local government area of lagos state said the party is fulfilling INEC requirements to have its registered as a full flagged political party in Nigeria adding that the party has far better deals for Nigerians than any political party presently in the country.
He said " We have gone far in the registration by the Independent Electoral Commission INEC which told us to go and mobilise meetings with the people all over the country and send the minutes of the meeting to them. We are launching YDPN branch in Shomolu local government area today and all over the federation".
Speaking on the challenges the party has been battling with, Comrade Adesegun said " Life is about challenges. The Lagos state government sent people to destroy our banners and posters all in their bid for us to be frustrated. Also, the Area Commander Area H said we should not come out and sentitise the people on the voters registration but we are here today. "
Asked how the party will affect the lives of residents in Shomolu local government area , Mr. Adesegun said. " I was born and breed in Shomolu local government. Shomolu is known for cultism, thuggery and other vices but we are changing that. We at YDPN are saying no youth should be used by politicians to cause mayhem. We want to engage the youth positively to shun cultism and they should begin to be part of the solutions. You can see many of them today joining us and partaking in all we are doing. This is because, we told them they can be part of the government and not political thugs. My believe is that a son of a nobody can become somebody without the help of anybody "
Also speaking on the launch of the party branches, the vice chairman of the party Comrade Segun Oduola said " We are also sensitising the people on the need to go and register for the revalidation of the PVC she. It will commence in the month of June. We are trying our best to reach the youth through social media. As you know our letter of intent has been sent to INEC and what we are doing is in a bid for the party to start in 2021 in the Shomolu local government election coming up soon'".
