Police arrest lawyer for knocking out wife's teeth. 

One Mr Columbus  Effiong who claims to be a lawyer  is being interrogated at   the Human Rights section Akinpelu police station for allegedly beating his wife   one Mrs Alice and knocking out her front teeth. 

It was gathered that Barr. Effiong allegedly subjected his wife to violence and the latest beating he gave her knocked out her front teeth at thier home in Oshodi area of Lagos State.

She is said to be in severe pain when she reported the violence to the Advocate For Children and Vulnerable Person Network ( ACVPN) and following ACVPN's relentlessly efforts led by Mr. Ebenezer Omejalile, Coordinator of ACVPN, the alleged abusive lawyer was arrested and would be transfer to the Gender Section, State Criminal Investigation Department Panti Yaba. 

Speaking on the arrest, Mr. Omejalile expressed disappointment over pressure on the survivor to have her husband face the law. He said "Surprisingly the survivor called me and appealed that her husband the Perpetrators family called to come over to their home town for settlement of the case. My respond to her was why didn't the same Family prevented the numerous violence she suffered in the past before this present one that got her front teeth removed".
