Airforce Officer detained for defiling girl,15, inside barracks

A Nigerian Air force personnel identified  as W. O Farodoye has been detained in the AirForce base Sam Ethan Barracks Ikeja for allegedly defiling a 15 year old girl who was a maid in his house in the barracks. 

W.O Farodoye was arrested and detained following complaints by members of the Advocates for  Children and Vulnerable Persons Network ACVPN who brought the attention of the Air force authority to the plight of the girl and the alleged  crime their personnel committed  inside their barracks .
It was gathered that W.O Faradoye was alleged to have started defiling the minor since she was 13 years old. 
Investigations further gathered that the defiled minor was trafficked from Benin Republic to Nigeria to work as a maid.

Giving an update on the crime and how the  W.O Farodoye  was arrested , Mr. Ebenezer Omejalile the Cordinator of ACVPN  said " We visited the Air Force Base  8th of February 2022, we were able to meet with the Provost by name Eleke of the Command, the Commandant AA Martins, the Information Officer by name FC Ezeyin and the Legal officer in person of Squadron Leader Omo, we were duly addressed by the Commandant AA Martins, a very articulate Officer who informed us that they actually heard about the matter yesterday evening and the report that stated they were not are around was untrue.

Commandant AA Martins   appreciated ACVPN efforts the prompt action in informing the Air Force on the issue on around.

According to the Commandant AA Martins  he told us within the period they officially heard of the matter all parties involved were immediately arrested including those we didn't know about.

Obviously the man in the middle of the storm W.O FARODOYE is confirmed to be in the cell ,his name  was on the board where suspects names were written at the Provost Counter .Commandant AA Martins also briefed us that the Survivor is now in a protective custody and she's currently undergoing Medical Examination due to the length of abuse she suffered in the hand of W.O FARODOYE before she was rescued yesterday". 
It was gathered that Commandant AA Martins  further showed ACVPN members the  Air Force Handbook and assured them justice will be served as the officer is already detained .
Mr. Omejalile said " He  read out some sections that clearly stated the AIR Force does not condone such irresponsible acts and it's a total Zero Tolerance.

Commandant AA Martins  further told us that the perpetrator W. O FARODOYE would be trialed through the Orderly room Court Marshal.He further told us further investigation showed that the survivor is a victim of trafficking, and the syndicate is been sort after and brought to book.Commandant AA Martins  assured us that after full investigation is completed the Survivor would be handed over to the NAPTIP and Immigration because the Survivor was discovered to have been trafficked from the Republic of Benin, he assured us that ACVPN will be  carried along with investigation activities. Commandant AA Martins called for stronger partnership as he assured that justice would be served after investigation would have been concluded. must confess the above mentioned Officers made our day with their various intelligent submission, we assured them of appreciation at the prompt response between yesterday and today all defaulting persons have been arrested we commend their efforts.

A big appreciations to everyone on this matter especially Comrade Solomon Neye and Comrade Lolade AJAYI for their resilience and determination to get justice for the Survivor"  Mr. Omejalile said
