75 years old man gives girl 14, N2,500 after defiling her three times. 

 

Policemen attached to the Igando police station  Lagos State police command have arrested a 75 years old man  for allegedly defiling a minor. 
According to the survivor,  4th of February 2022 their neighbor Mr JOHN lIBEH called her into a bush close to their home, where he attempted to force himself on her, but she ran away.

The following day 5th of February, 2022.the perpetrator called her to fetch water for him, when she brought it, he asked her to take it inside the house.

Continuing she said " Immediately I entered the house to drop the water, he locked the door and forced himself on me. After the act the perpetrator gave me #1,000 to buy food for for myself and siblings, also female age 12 and 10. Our  mother is late and our father can't provide oue daily needs. The Perpetrator repeatedly had sex witg me on two other occasions.Again he gave me  #1,500 for food on  the 9th February 2022 and he told her his son has money in carton, that he will give her money to buy food.
I told a female neighbor that alert the compound and community, the community needed prove, so they all agreed that I  should go for a medical examination@ IDERA CENTER, IGANDO GENERAL HOSPITAL"

It was gathered from Advocates For Children and Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN) that the  perpetrator Mr JOHN IBEH has been arrested by JWC UNIT IGANDO POLICE STATION while the survivor has also been placed in a shelter home.

ACVPN added that the survivor's   younger sisters  are also desperately in need of placement at a shelter as their dad and relatives are not capable, responsible or willing to take care of them, meaning they are also at  risk of being abused too.
