Last week, the Police Service Commission PSC lifted the suspension of one Superintendent of Police SP Mohammed Iya Adamu. SP Musa was found not guilty of all allegations.
Findings on the internet however reveal that among other allegations ranging from misconduct, SP Musa was alleged to have slept with former IGP Adamu's wife an online newspaper had revealed.
SP Mohammed Musa who was suspended from the police and subjected to harrowing experience over the allegations that he had amorous relationship with an estranged wife of a former IGP was last week vindicated by the Police Service Commission.
SP Musa was not only suspended from the police and witchunted but was made to go underground for months suffering high blood pressure and his relatives locked up following the false allegation sources said.
His vindication and the lifting of the suspension have no doubt come as a great relief as the false allegations which was also published not only tarnished his reputation but left him sick without money and the proper mindset to cater for his family police sources said.
A police source said " SP Mohammed Musa did not have anything to do with the IGP's wife. He was hunted and locked up based on false allegations which was published online. He was suspended based on the false allegation that he slept with IGP's Adamu's wife . The PSC lifted the suspension because all the allegations were false and the suspension done in bad faith" .
The lifting of the suspension which was contained in a statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head Media of PSC stated that " SP Mohammed Iya Musa, a Superintendent of Police serving in the Yobe State Police Command and who was demobilized from the Special Protection Unit, Base 2, Lagos. The Commission also approved the reinstatement of 21 other Officers and directed the promotion of some of the Officers and payment of salary arrears of others the statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani the Head of Media PSC revealed.
These decisions were taking at the 12th Plenary Meeting of the Commission held in Abuja on the 6th and 7th (Tuesday and Wednesday) of July, 2021 and which was presided over by Commission Chairman, Musiliu Smith, a retired Inspector General of Police.
SP Musa who was on suspension was recalled by the Commission and awarded a punishment of severe reprimand. He was facing charges of disobedience to constituted authority, absence from duty, divided loyalty, refusal to accept posting, discourteous behaviour to public and act unbecoming of a public Officer.
The Officer in his representation had stated that he did not indulge in the allegations levelled against him and denied same while pleading for exculpation. He however recalled his encounter with the aides of a former IGP and his detention at the Maitama Police Station without any known offence. The Commission was convinced after going through his representation that he was not guilty as charged and recalled him to work".

IG Adamu also allegedly eloped with one Fatima Ahmed Daura, a daughter of a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Sani Ahmed Daura, and hid her in No 5b Granges Street, Maitama, Abuja, a house he recently purchased.
The Inspector General of Police then set up SP Musa, used Fatima Ahmed Daura to invite him to No 5Bb Granges Street, where Policemen arrested and detained him at the Maitama Police station on trump up charges.
Subsequently, SP Musa was issued a query by the IG on “Serious Misconduct.”
Several calls to Force Spokesman, DCP, Frank Mba, were not answered.

This is really bad, the NPF should pay him for damages done to him both psychologically, emotionally, financially and physically.... asides that why will a respectable IGP do this to him wife just because of another lady, he has dented the image of his wife beyond repairs, all for what? May God forgive him for this terrible deed.
