EIDUL-FITR: 1,924 NSCDC personnel deployed in Lagos

 







Lagos commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has deployed 1,924 personnel in the state to ensure a hitch - free celebration.


This was contained in a statement by Assistant Superintendent of Corps I (ASCI) ABOLURIN OLUWASEUN PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER NSCDC LAGOS STATE COMMAND.

The statement read "in line with the Federal Government's declaration of Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th May, 2021 as public holidays to mark the EIDUL-FITR CELEBRATION of this year, the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Lagos State Command, Commandant Ayeni PK  has deployed over 1,942 officers and men from the various quinsintential Departments, Units, Divisions and Area Commands of the Command to ensure that lives and property are safe and secured while the celebration progresses.

The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Lagos State Command, CC AYENI PK also felicitates with Muslim faithfuls and all others in Lagos State as they celebrate this year's EIDUL-FITR. In addition he sues for peace, love and unity from all residents of the state during and after the celebration while guaranteeing the security of lives and property during the holiday"

The statement added all criminal elements and particularly vandals in the state to desist from their evil, dastard and disastrous act of economic sabotage or be ready to face the full wrath of the law. He assures that the Command will not go to bed during the holidays but rather remain fervent and committed to its core mandates and statutory functions, as provided by the law.

EIDUL-FITR also called the "Festival of Breaking the Fast" or simply Eid, is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
