EFCC returns forfeited property to fraud victim 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has recovered proceeds of crime  from a fake army general one Bolarinwa Abiodun.The Lagos Zonal Commander of EFCC, Ahmed Ghali, on Thursday stated that  Abiodun had posed as an Army General and  defrauded one Bamidele Olusegun of the sum of N266,500,000.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Special Offences Court Ikeja Lagos, had on July 8th 2022 sentenced Abiodun to seven years imprisonment and also ordered him to forfeit all the proceeds he accrued from  the crime.

 In compliance with the judgment, EFCC officials  handed over a property  at 1A, Joke Ayo Street, Riverside Estate, Alagbado, Lagos, a Range Rover Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, a black BMW car, a black Toyota Land cruiser car, a white Toyota Hilux recovered from the fake army general  to the fraud victim  Olusegun.
