Robbers shot bank customer,snatch cash. 

Deadly  armed robbers on Thursday shot a bank customer in Lagos.
It was gathered that a gang of armed robbers on power bike  stormed the bank at Idejo, off Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island, about 1pm opposite the Chinese embassy.

It was further gathered that the bank customer allegedly  withdrew some money from the Stanbic IBTC bank but he was accosted by four men who were on power bike and demanded for the money soon as he left the bank.

An eyewitness said " it seems the gang got information about the man as they trailed him but the man refused to  hand  the money to them.  The armed robbers became angry and they shot him on thec leg before they made away with the money.
Traffic robbery has been on steady increase in Lagos State recently.
The Lagos state police spokes person Joe Offor said that the police tactical operations unit have been deployed to arrest traffic robbers .
He said " The police has been arresting these armed robbers. We are not encouraging people to take up arms to protect themselves. We want to assure them that we will continue to arrest these armed robbers as the strategy we have deployed is working"
