The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has led a security assessment tour of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the state, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly examination environment.
Ojajuni, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala, visited selected centres to evaluate the level of security deployment and the conduct of officers assigned to the ongoing examinations.
The inspection, which took place on Friday, focused on the safety and protection of candidates, as well as the overall coordination of security personnel at the venues. The police boss expressed satisfaction with the professionalism displayed by officers on duty, noting that adequate measures had been put in place to prevent disruptions.
He assured parents, guardians and other stakeholders that the Command would maintain robust security presence throughout the examination period to guarantee a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for candidates.
Ojajuni also urged candidates to remain orderly and cooperate fully with security personnel and examination officials to ensure a hitch-free process.
The visit highlights ongoing efforts by the Ogun State Police Command to support the smooth conduct of public examinations and safeguard participants across the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the development in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Friday.
