Zooma Supermarket shut following murder of owner as police begins investigation.

 

Popular Zooma Supermarket, one of the oldest superstore located at the Are- area of New Bodija Ibadan Oyo state has a bold sign " Sorry we are closed". The sudden closure of the supermarket which has been in operation for more than  three decades  came as a shock to customers and many residents of Bodija community who patronise the supermarket. 

The  reason for the closure has  sadly  revealed that  suspected gunmen  murdered the owner Dr. Dolapo Tejumola. 

Dr. Tejumola was allegedly attacked in her home in the Bodija Estate by suspected armed robbers in the early hour of yesterday. 

Following the alleged  murder, the superstore was closed for business as staff troupe to their late boss's house to mourn her demise a source revealed.

When our Correspondent visited the supermarket, the atmosphere was tense with just the guard on ground . 

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Oyo state police command SP Adewale Oyefeso confirmed the murder and started the police are investigating. 

" Investigation is ongoing please". He stated. Efforts to further gather more details from the spokesperson proved abortive. 

Dr. Tejumola had been running the Zooma Supermarket since her parents demise. Her parents owned the supermarket when they were alive another source added.  However,following their demise, sources said Dr. Tejumola weathered the storm , continued with her parents' Zooma supermarket business and kept it afloat and brought new innovations  to the supermarket until she was sadly  murdered.
