HOW DR. FEMI OLALEYE'S AGENTS OFFERED HIS 16 YEARS OLD VICTIM N2.5M TO RECANT HER STATEMENT ------- RIGHTS ACTIVIST

------AS HUMAN RIGHTS GROUPS HAIL JUDICIARY, LAGOS STATE GOVT, POLICE, MEDIA OVER JUDGMENT

More revelations have emerged in the accusations against Dr. Femi Olaleye the Founder  of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation in Lagos who was sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling a 16 year old niece of his wife.

It was gathered during a press conference in Lagos on Friday that Dr. Olaleye 's agents tried to financially induce the 16 years old girl and her mother ,so that she can recant her earlier statement that Dr. Olaleye defiled her.

Mrs. Anthonia Ojenegbon of Tonia Brusied BUT NOT BROKEN FOUNDATION said " This little girl is the heroine of this case. She was given money to change her story a few days before the judgment , N400, 000 was paid into her mother's account for her to change her story. She was told to do a video and change her story and after that she will be paid N2.1 million making it a total of N2.5 million but she refused. Her mother returned the money and we have the receipt as evidence and we filed it as an affidavit in court".

The human rights activists at the press conference include the Radical Movement in the NBA, Tonia Bruised But Not Broken Foundation, Stop The Abuse Foundation ,Mirabel Center ,Cece Yara Foundation , Child Protection Network

, Be Inspired Women Empowerment Foundation ,Bimbo Odukoya Foundation And Advocate for children and vulnerable Persons Network ACVPN. Others are Smile and Shine Children Foundation , Family Wellness Therapy Center, Mom to Mom Foundation, Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) urged other survivors to speak out and not be intimidated or allowed themselves to be induced.

The spokes person for the human rights groups, Barrister Adesina Ogunlana said " Yes, we celebrate our collective victory with the win of the sentencing of life imprisonment of Dr. Femi Frank Olaleye. A notorious unrepentant pedophile and a liar in the words of the court.

We all started this journey together with our relentless call and subsequent protests asking the Lagos State government to arrest and prosecute Dr. Femi Olaleye for the defilement of his wife's niece after one year that a complaint was filed against him and our joy knew no bounds when he was subsequently arrested and arraigned on two counts of sexual assault and defilement of his wife's niece.

Exactly a year after, arraignment, Justice Rahmon Oshodi of the Lagos High Court, the Daniel in this case gave an erudite judgement that left no one in doubt that there is a difference between judgement and Justice because this poor indigent survivor who is the daughter of nobody without paying a penny to anyone and without having connections got JUSTICE!!!!

This is not Uhuru yet because the war against sexual and gender based violence is still raging"

Condemning the growing menace of rape, and other violence against women, Barr. Ogunlana said " Just yesterday, we got a report from Enugu that a three years old girl was brutally raped by an unknown person to the extent of requiring surgery. The school under whose care this sordid incident happened have now in cahoots with the Nigerian Police, Enugu started threatening to arrest the mother of the child for defamation without investigating the real crime of rape. As we were rejoicing on the 24th of October, 2023 after the court victory, one of members got a report of a girl who was brutally raped and dumped somewhere in Ojodu in her bloodied uniform who later died before help could come to her.

Another is the incident of a girl of six years old in the Ipaja area of Lagos State who brutally raped ,beaten and strangulated to death. No one has been charged to court yet, the perpetrator is still in police custody at Panti. How many lives will be wasted and ended before it even starts because we as a society have refused to stand up for our defenceless and vulnerable?

We have seen shocking Comments by Nigerians especially on social media saying that the sentencing was too much or that the wife of Dr. Olaleye should not have taken a stand against her husband.

Our question is , would those asking these questions still hold this stance if they were the relative of that little child whose virginity was stolen from her ?

Would this still be your position if this big man's wife knowing the atrocities her husband has done against your child covered up for her husband because she knows you are poor and not well connected to pursue justice

In the now famous word of Mr. Raji Fashola( SAN) " may our loyalties never be tested"

Mrs Olaleye , thank you for standing for humanity. You the real heroine! You saved our wives, sisters and daughters from being molested by this serial and unremorseful fiend. May posterity judge you most kindly.

Once more we want to thank you the gentlemen of the press. We also thank the Lagos State government for its unrelentless fight against sexual and gender based violence. Special emphasis must be made on the effort of the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions, Lagos State. We thank the Nigerian Police too for their support especially in this instant case. Thank you to all the sexual referral centers and every advocate who is working tirelessly to rid our nation of this malady.

We must on this note implore the general public to support us more by fighting this menace. Stop toxic forgiveness or what we " by fire ,by force forgiveness of perpetrators.

In the crime of rape, the only way we can win this war is to ensure that perpetrators are prosecuted.

Mrs Joy Shokoya of Mirable Foundation said collaboration among the human rights activists from different rights groups aided the strong voice to push for the prosecution of the case of rape against Dr. Olaleye. She said " This case shows collaboration and synergy we have between agencies. There is support for the victims as we are all working together for the victims".

Mrs Pamela Udofia the Lead Therapist of Family Wellness Therapy Center as well as Mrs. Bisi Ajan - Kayode of the Ceceyara Foundation urged victims of rape and domestic violence to seek help so they can be treated of the traumatic experience they went through.

Mrs. Udofia said " The little girl is the heroine in this case . Inspite of the intimidation, harassment, fear, she was subjected to, she maintained her statement. We are here to help victims . There is something that is called childhood adverse experience. If you do not come out to speak about the experience and seek help , you will become very sad and that can lead to depression and depression can lead to suicide. Please come out and speak , we are ready to help in every way".

Ndidi Toyin of Stop the Abuse Women and Children Foundation on behalf of the human rights groups applauded the Lagos state government, the judiciary, the police, media organisations that ensure that the case was followed through and the desired judgment and justice was meted out on Dr. Olaleye.

Police parade man , 24, for allegedly killing girlfriend ,20.

Police in Rivers state on Thursday paraded one Damian Okoligwe, who claimed to be a 400-level Petrochemical Engineering student of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT ).

According to the Guardian, the suspect was  arrested by the Rivers State Police Command, for allegedly killing and dismembering the body of his girlfriend, Justina Tiffany Otuene, in Obio/Akpor Local Council of the state.

Parading the 24-year-old suspect, yesterday, at the Police Command at Moscow road, the State Police Commissioner, Emeka Nwonyi, said operatives of the Ozuoba Division received a complaint from a good Samaritan and neighbour from Road 20, back of NTA Ozuoba following a very bad smell coming out from the suspect’s apartment.

He said on arrival at the Okoligwe’s apartment, the operatives forcefully opened the door, and a Ghana must-go bag containing a lifeless body was recovered.
He explained that the police officers did not meet the occupants of the house when they arrived.

The Police boss stated that they went back to the station and in search of the fleeing suspect, who is the presumed boyfriend of the deceased, 24. He was eventually traced and arrested for an inquiry.

Nwonyi added that the lifeless and butchered body of Otuene, a 20-year-old 300-level biochemistry student at Uniport, was recovered and deposited at the mortuary.

He, however, said a preliminary investigation is in progress, adding that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation.

Meanwhile, the suspect, Okoligwe, who claimed to be a BetNaija agent, admitted that the slain girl was his off-and-on girlfriend.

He confessed that he rented the two-bedroom flat where the incident occurred barely one week before.

Okoligwe, however, denied killing the victim, saying the young lady, who he booked a cab to convey to his house, took ill immediately she arrived at his house and overslept, forgetting the time she was billed to return home.

Justina Tiffany Otuene
Narrating the incident, he said: “We used to date for a while, but we kept on going back and forth. She entered Bolt and came to my house. We planned that we are going to see on that day.

“She was supposed to leave that night, but I slept off because she came at about 4:00 p.m. After, I was very sick and when I woke up, she was already lying down in bed because I slept in the parlour.

“I woke up that morning very sick, so I went into the room to check her. She was still sleeping, then I went back to the parlour.

“Later, I was calling her, but she didn’t respond. So, I had to go check her out, but she was not moving at all. She was stiff. After that I did not know what to do, so I carried her body into another room. And then I called my brother to come and pick me up.

“Her mutilated body was when I was trying to get rid of her body into the Ghana-Must-Go bag.

“I did not report to the police because I was thinking that I will surely be blamed. When I came back on that Wednesday from my brother’s place where I went to take treatment, that was the day the whole police issue came about.”

However, the victim’s elder brother, John Otuene, called for justice for his sister. He alleged that his younger sister was kidnapped.

Otuene explained that after his sister was not seen for days and subsequent efforts were made to find her, they received a call from an unknown number which demanded ransom and days later they were informed of her death.

How missing 300L UNIPORT student was murdered

A man identified as Collins from Mbano in Imo State has killed his girlfriend, Otuene Justina Nkang, a 300-level student of the University of Port Harcourt, at his rented apartment in Port Harcourt for ritual purposes.

The tragic incident occurred along NTA Road, Mgbuoba in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State

Some parts of the lady were missing when he was caught trying to dispose of her body.

How it happened
Ikejabird gathered that Nkang, a Biochemistry student at the University of Port Harcourt, was declared missing three days ago after she was last seen at the prestigious specialist hospital on Umuechem Street, number 13.

A source close to the victim said Justina’s decomposing and mutilated remains were seen in her boyfriend’s apartment, whom she had visited after the close of work at the hospital four days ago.

According to the source, the deceased UNIPORT student was murdered by her lover for ritual purposes. Her breasts, eyes and other sensitive parts of her body were mutilated.

The source stated, “So he (the suspect) after committing the crime kept her body in his apartment for three days and just when he wanted to dispose of her corpse in the refuse dump, a vigilante group in the area accosted him, leading to his arrest.”

Meanwhile, a viral online post on Thursday morning read, “Otuene Justina Nkang was reported to be missing four days ago. She was a 300-level student of Biological Chemistry in UNIPORT, but unfortunately, she was killed by her boyfriend who tried disposing of her body this evening but was caught. The suspect has been handed over to the police.”

Collins is believed to have killed her, slashed her eyes and chest, and was then caught by security guards at his property as he tried to dispose of her body. After being alerted by the guards, witnesses rushed to the suspect’s apartment and found Justina’s dismembered body parts in a bag, dripping with blood.

The body of the deceased was taken to the morgue and then taken to the police station.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the Commissioner of Police, Emeka Nwaonyi, will be addressing the press on the matter later on Thursday.

Video : Otukpo bank robbery: ‘’How armed robbers were kitted in police uniform and welcomed by slain DPO’’

---As residents appeal  to acting  IGP Egbetokun t o create Mobile Unit in Otukpo, urge  government ,  police , army  to boost security in the town.

As more revelations are emerging  following the daring bank robbery operation that shook Otukpo town to its core  on Friday October 20th., the traumatized  residents of the town   are appealing to the acting Inspector general of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun to urgently approve a police Mobile Unit in Otukpo town. The residents also call on the Nigerian president Mr. Bola Tinubu and the Army authority to boost security in Idoma land and Otukpo Town so as to forestall such ugly situation.

While the residents are still in shock and traumatized over the incident which is said to be the first time such daylight armed robbery was reported  in the  town  leading to the murder of   policemen including the Divisional Police Officer of the Otukpo Division CSP  John Adikwu ,  female police Inspectors , a Constable,   a female police identified as Emmanuell,  vigilantee. were killed. Ten civilians were said to have be killed by the armed  robbers who attacked five banks. Six persons, One of them identified as Emmanuel Uche were allegedly shot dead by the armed robbers in United Bank for Africa UBA.

An account of how the bank robbery allegedly took place was related by a police personnel ‘’ They (armed robbers) were dressed and kitted with police uniform. They came in a police Anti-robbery squad Hilux van; they visited the DPO as the Anti-robbery squad normally does once in a while. As the DPO and other personnel came out to receive them (armed robbers)   as usual, they (armed robbers) began to open fire. We lost three women Inspectors, one newly pass out Constable whom was just a year in service. The DPO was shot and while rushing him to the hospital, he gave up the ghost. The armed robbers attacked the station and many arms and ammunition were robbed before they had  the guts of attacking other places with full temerity’’.

Another source stated that the armed robbers after killing the police men and women and carting the rifles went to the banks and started their operation without any challenge and they operated for over one hour in the banks. They were said to have used explosives to blow up the doors of the banks and the vaults.

A source who claimed to be an eyewitness said ‘’ The armed robbers operated for over two hours unhindered. Those guys had superior weapons and  they use some explosives. The armed robbers came prepared. It was a well planned and executed armed robbery. They had sophisticated weapons and others they took from the station. Obviously, they have seen the loop holes in the security architecture of the town that only one police station serves the town . The banks are on one road and the police station is the only security outfit protecting the banks, churches, schools, markets, residents, villages  and visitors to the town. The armed robbers have studied these security loopholes of the town and by attacking and killing the DPO and other police men and women; they had nobody to stop them from raiding the banks. The armed robbers  started from Zenith,to Stanbic IBTC,Access bank, UBA,so sad. Six persons were killed in  UBA alone. The banks were under a  siege for over an hour.  Our cousin uncle Baba’s  son among  the persons killed . The armed  robbers  are  young men. Having their killing and looting spree, they fled the town but  were trapped in the bush at Entina village in a bid to escape.

One Eneche , Eneche said  ‘’ Ten persons apart from the policemen were also killed in that robbery . It is painful but we need to let the world know what befell us in  Otukpo . W shall bury our dead , but we shall never bury the pain this Friday brought our way. One  Emmanuel Uche finished NYSC earlier this year and got a job with UBA, Otukpo a week ago. He lost his life at UBA  bank robbery’’

Another source   further narrated how the armed robbers operated and were chased into a bush.

‘’ They fled after the robberies  and  they  abandoned the  Hilux they fled with  from Otukpo in a bush.  A  Matrix car was taken from First Bank, it belongs to a female staff. These are the two vehicles  they abandoned here in the bush . How did they get into Otukpo town ? ‘’

A video making the rounds online shows four suspected armed robbers who allegedly carried out the robbery incident at the banks  in a vehicle and they  are young but  have been stripped to their pants and badly beaten up .

According to one meddycyndemouthpiece, the fleeing  armed robbers who succeeded  are wounded and are fleeing in different directions with their stolen load.He added that the hilux van is stained with blood but there was no sign of the stolen money.

A source said ‘’ The armed robbers  are well organised. The vehicles they used to escape were abandoned in a bush. I am sure that they have an onward vehicle that received the stolen money and other armed robbers that escaped’’

An eye witness said  ‘’ They came in an old Toyota vehicle and many motorbikes. They couldn't have relied on the Hilux to move far, which means their main vehicle was within the area they operated. Soldiers ambushed  them, which  made them divert into the bush where they abandoned the  two vehicles. While they had a field day for close to two hours inside Otukpo, the Army had mobilized, and laid ambush at Otukpo/Agatu, Otukpo/Otukpa, and Otukpo/Makurdi roads.  The soldiers  at the  Otukpo/Makurdi  road  neutralized the fleeing armed robbers  in an  ambush. If the soldiers  had entered the town to engage them, the casualty figures would have been higher. The fleeing armed robbers  cannot move far with the stolen money which is weighty, and they had gunshot wounds. They are within that bush where they abandoned these two vehicles. I don't think the Army's ambush allowed them to get to their intended vehicles, which made them divert into the bush. If you ask me, I will tell you that the later part of their outing was a failed operation’’

A 65 year old woman who simply identified herself as Mama Rebecca while reacting to the armed robbery in the town  said ‘’ I was born and brought up in the town of Otukpo. I have never seen or heard such a thing ever happened in this town. I am in shock and I’m very sad over the killings. Police authority should boost security in the town so that such an ugly situation will not happen again’’

A businessman who simply identified himself as  Mr. Jude said ‘’ This is a total failure of policing in the town. It shows how insecure our police divisions are. It’s a shame that this kind of thing can be attempted, executed and the police were caught napping and because of this many innocent lives were lost. This is not the time to be unserious with policing work. Our police must be well ready for any security breach considering what is happening in the world’’.

Another resident said ‘’ I have lived in this town for forty  years. I feel sympathy for the murdered policemen and the civilians. I strongly feel that this incident is a wake up call  that Otukpo needs more police formations and military base  in the town. This town has increased in population and economic activities but it is sad that the security of the town has not been taken seriously and now we can see the result of lack of planning when a city is growing. This is the only police formation I know about in this town, the police, the army and the government should not delay in providing more security outfits in the town because the huge  presence of security operatives and security formation could have hindered this kind of thing from happening . The armed robbers couldn’t have dared this at all  if they know the town is not porous .So we are appealing to government to boost the security in the town by giving us a mobile unit and more police stations that are well equipped, fenced in and the officers are given modern gadgets to work with.  ‘’

‘’ Residents in this town are familiar with  the operation of vigillantee groups. But as we can see the town has grown beyond the job vigilante can handle. Sophisticated crimes are upon us and we cannot continue to live as if we are in the old days. There is no doubt that the security in the town must be improved urgently. We need a Mobile Unit in this town and the IGP has the power to approve one. So we are appealing to him to do so for us urgently and also the army presence should be felt in this town’’   Another resident  who simply  identified himself as Agada said .

Puts Commands, Formations on alert.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ag.
