58yrs old man and his 52yrs old wife give birth to triplet after 24 years of marriage.

When She's pregnant and we confirmed it was triplets, we experienced mixed feelings–Gbenga Familusi

According to Punch Newspaper, After 24 years of anticipation, 58-year-old Gbenga Familusi, a retired teacher and minister with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, finally experienced a significant moment in his life: the birth of triplets. Familusi, from Osun State, described the experience as transformative. He and his wife, Temitope, had faced decades of disappointment and emotional strain, trying to start a family. This life-changing event brought relief to the couple, who had endured countless challenges along the way.

The couple’s journey was filled with periods of mockery and heartbreak. After years of failed attempts, they had almost resigned themselves to a life without children. They faced judgment from others, particularly in their community, as the years passed without any sign of success. Despite their faith and hope, the weight of societal pressure and personal grief took a toll on them, especially as they neared retirement age.

When Temitope finally became pregnant, the news brought not just joy but also apprehension. The discovery that they were expecting triplets came with mixed emotions. The couple was thrilled by the prospect of becoming parents but also concerned about the demands of raising three newborns. They faced the challenge of preparing emotionally and financially for their expanding family. The pressures mounted as they realized the financial burden that lay ahead.

Financial concerns soon became a significant issue. The cost of caring for three babies weighed heavily on their minds. Despite the joy of finally becoming parents, they feared the hardships their children might face due to their limited resources. With retirement already in sight, the Familusis found themselves facing an uncertain future as they considered how to provide for their children’s basic needs. This fear added to the emotional strain they were already experiencing.

Throughout the pregnancy, Familusi made it his mission to remain strong for his wife. He took on the role of reassuring her and maintaining their faith during moments of doubt. He acknowledged that his wife worried about things he hadn’t even considered, particularly about the logistics of giving birth to triplets and ensuring their safety. As a couple, they worked together to stay optimistic despite their concerns about the future.

He said: When she became pregnant and we confirmed it was triplets, we experienced mixed feelings. Women often worry about things men might not even think about, such as how we would manage, how the babies would be delivered safely, and whether we were fully prepared for what was to come. My role was to be strong for her and to instil the faith that we could handle whatever came our way.
